Canadian Solar on Tuesday confirmed that its $265m acquisition of Recurrent from Japan’s Sharp is complete. Recurrent, a San Francisco-based developer of large US solar projects, brings a 4GW pipeline to Canadian Solar, one-quarter of which is expected to be on-line before the ITC is slated to fall from 30% to 10%.
Recurrent’s near-term projects will serve as the “cornerstone” for Canadian Solar’s yieldco, plans for which were confirmed earlier this month.
