Despite being the world’s largest solar market, and the location of most of Canadian Solar’s manufacturing capacity, China has thus far taken a back seat to several higher-margin markets for Canadian Solar’s projects business – most notably Canada.
Of Canadian Solar’s 1.3GW of “late-stage” projects, some 290MW were in China as of last month – compared to 536MW in Canada and 405MW in Japan.
