The 3.1MW project, located within an industrial park in Tipitapa, Nicaragua, is due for completion by the end of the year, and will be the largest solar project in the country.
The project will power 26 companies operating in the Zona Franca Astro Nicaragua industrial park, covering an estimated 30% of their electricity requirements.
The order is tiny within the context of Canadian Solar’s overall business, with the Ontario-based company guiding for shipments of up to 750MW during the third quarter.
