The site, located in South Wales, achieved planning permission in February and construction will commence immediately "to achieve accreditation before March 2015", said the partners.

Projects above 5MW no longer qualify under the UK's government existing support mechanism from April 2015 onwards.

UK-based Camborne is currently appointing an EPC contractor and will manage the construction process, it said.
