“It's a trade group that will work in favour of millions of power consumers,” says one of the founders, Carlos Evangelista, president of VisTechnology. “There is a complete lack of standards in the industry.”
Lack of know-how by installers, distribution companies and regulators; shortfalls in the supply of meters; poor knowledge of how to bill the energy injected into the grid; and complex connection rules and procedures for each of the country's 63 distribution companies all lead to months of delays in connecting panels after they have been installed.
