The federal energy planning authority, EPE, says the preliminary registration figure tops the 10.8GW registered at last year's solar auction, which included other power sources.
This year's reserve auction on 1 August is the first time that PV will be tendered on its own, without competing with other technologies. The EPE has still to clear projects according to financial and technical capacities.
