A project company led by Sunlution – the local unit of France's Ciel & Terre – won a tender to build two 5MW PV projects that will float on reservoirs of hydroelectric dams in northern Brazil. WEG and two Brazilian universities are partners in the project.
The first 1MW, on 60 square metres of floaters manufactured in the state of Bahia, are now operating in each of the reservoirs.
