The €5m ($7.1m) solar facility was built by EVN’s subsidiary Naturkraft near the city of Burgas on the nation’s Black Sea coast.
EVN already operates a 0.8MW PV plant in Baltets, Bulgaria.
The utility has also increased to 70% its stake in the Gorna Arda hydropower project on the Arda river in Bulgaria’s southeast.
The five-year project will build a chain of hydro plants totalling up to 170MW in capacity and supplying 100,000 homes.
