The government of the northern province of Jujuy says the idea is to form a special-purpose company between Power China, Shanghai Electric and the provincial power company, Jujuy Energía Minería Sociedad del Estado.
The announcement was made after a meeting between Jujuy governor Gerardo Morales and the Chinese ambassador to Chile, Yang Wanming. Jujuy officials are now planning a trip to China to discuss this and other issues.
