Adani has set up a joint venture with the state over the complex, which it says will be India’s largest, firming up a memorandum of understanding over the plan that was signed in February.
The Rajasthan solar park will also include a large module manufacturing plant, Adani told investors on the Mumbai Stock Exchange.
If the plant achieves its full planned scale by 2022, it would account for 10% of the 100GW national solar target set for that date by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Adani and the Rajasthan state government will each own a 50% stake in the JV, called Adani Renewable Energy Park Rajasthan.
