Tesla chief executive Elon Musk last week had launched a suite of lithium-ion battery systems spanning residential and utility-scale applications that the company claims will push down the price of a PV-and-battery system for a typical home by 60% compared to a year ago.
LichtBlick and Tesla will initially start their collaboration in Germany – where already more than one million people have PV panels on their roofs – and the companies plan to expand their relationship to other EU countries, the US, Australia and New Zealand.
