Located in the southern Choluteca region close to the Pacific coast, the project, which has a signed 20-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with government-owned utility Empresa nacional de Energía Eléctrica, is expected to flow about 110,000MWh year on to the country's grid.
"With this new project, we are further strengthening our position in the Honduran and Latin American solar market," said Scatec Solar chief executive Raymond Carlsen, pointing to its existing 60MW Agua Fria development.
