Tennessee Valley Authority is seeking public comment by 14 September on its draft environmental assessment (EA) of its proposed 20-year purchase of power from NextEra Energy Resources’ 80MW (ac) River Bend Solar Project in Alabama. It would be the largest PV facility in the US southeast and diversify TVA’s power supply mix. The draft EA describes the anticipated impacts of constructing and operating the plant and the connection to TVA’s transmission system.
