Renova posted a loss of R$27.3m ($7.9m) in the second quarter, compared with a loss of R$3.3m in the year-ago period. This is slightly below the R$29m loss in the first quarter for 2015.
The company's revenues rose 109% reflecting the first full year of operation of completed wind farms, reaching R$119m in the quarter from R$57m a year earlier. Sales of wind power represented 92% of total revenues.
