The company’s operating profits rose by 40% to €495 m, while sales rose 27% to €3.65 bn.
Gamesa said that it sold the equivalent of over 3,600 megawatts (MW) of capacity in wind power, of which 61% was sold outside of Spain. This includes 21% in the US, 17% in the rest of Europe and 13% in China. Around two thirds of its sales were of G8x 2 MW turbines, and the other third of G5x 850 kW turbines.
