However, a small group of environmental and trade union activists have occupied part of a second Vestas plant in Cowes, also on the Isle of Wight, to protest the firing of activists involved in the Newport occupation.
The protestors from Climate Camp campaign group and the RMT union say they will stay on the roof of the Cowes blade technology plant until 11 workers who have been fired by Vestas for taking part in a two week protest against the closure of the Newport and Southampton plants are reinstated.
