Opposition members of parliament (MP) criticised the progress being made on a number of renewables initiatives. MP Gregory Barker quoted recent news reports that the future of the London Array windfarm is in doubt after Shell pulled out, and lead investor Masdar said it was reviewing the project’s economic viability.
“Yesterday, Prime Minister Gordon Brown told the American Congress that only by tackling climate change could we create the millions of new green jobs that we needed,” Barker says.
