Alyn Davis, one of six currently serving Scottish MEPs, has lodged a formal parliamentary question in Brussels on the matter of transmission charges in the UK, which are overseen by the Office of Gas and Electricity Markets (Ofgem).
Davis has previously attempted – always unsuccessfully – to spur the European Commission to take action against the UK’s transmission charging regime, accusing it of being discriminatory against renewables.
