The possibility of a failure to reach agreement at another international climate conference is once again staring the world in the face. The US has come a long way under President Obama, but now it needs to make up for its years lost in the climate-issue wilderness by taking one big bold step into the future - for the sake of all mankind.
Time for the US to take a giant step
The US is once again coming under mounting criticism from developing nations and green groups meeting in Thailand's capital, Bangkok, for being unwilling to put into place a tough new emissions-reduction target for 2020, and instead choosing to shift the focus on to a 2050 target.
