The financial services company will finance solar photovoltaic systems SunPower designs, builds, operates and maintains. Electricity from the systems is sold to a host customer under a power purchase agreement. The customer makes no capital investment in the system.
The companies announced two small systems financed through their new arrangement:
- A 1.1 megawatt system at the University of California, Merced.
- A 1MW system for Western Riverside County Wastewater Authority.
