The wind farm will be built and owned by Catamount Energy, a 50:50 joint venture between the two companies, which developed the project along with Force 9 Energy. The wind farm will consist of consists of 29 turbines and will be located on the slopes of Carn Kitty and Carn Ghiubhais, approximately 12 km south of Forres.
Statkraft and Duke are also working together on several more wind farm projects and have applied for consent for two wind farms on the UK mainland.
