Spain’s installed capacity reached 19.88GW at the end of June, and the country’s wind energy association (AEE) says it is on track to reach the country’s 2010 target of 20.15GW by the end of the year. Spain’s renewable energy plan for 2011-2020 foresees wind energy reaching 38GW by the end of the period.
Spanish wind sector hits new production peak
Spain reached a new peak of wind power production, of 13.163GW on 8 November at 13.30 says grid operator Red Eléctrica de España. The last record was set on 24 February, when Spain’s wind power production reached 12.913GW.
