Spanish wind sector calls for more dialogue with government

The Spanish Wind Sector Association (AEE) has called on the government to establish a better level of dialogue with the sector over the country’s regulatory framework after rules are set without its paricipation.

AEE criticised a decree published on 7 May that establishes new regulations for wind power projects, in an attempt to stop the sector from going beyond the objects established in the government’s Renewable Energy Plan (PER) 2005-2010.

The new rules “have been elaborated without the necessary participation of the industry,” says AEE in a statement.

The new rules are positive in that they guarantee that projects that enter into the PER’s objectives of 20.155
