The project finance agreement has been signed with investment banks Banco Santander, La Caixa and BBVA. The deal will allow OPDE to construct an 11 MW plant in Valtierra, Navarra, and a similar plant in Tordesillas, Valladolid.
OPDE built over 28 MW in solar plants in 2009 and says it will construct 20 MW of capacity in 2010. OPDE says it is now Spain’s largest PV developer, with a 20% market share in ground mounted solar plants, and an annual turnover of €560 m.
