As of 1 July 2009, Transportnetz Strom will be managed directly by the CEO’s division. RWE is expanding the company to become a fully functional enterprise with its own workforce, and on 1 September 2009, it will be renamed “Amprion”.
RWE’s move will allow it to fulfil the requirements set down in the third EU single energy market package that gained final approval on 25 June.
