Calling the US and China’s “the most important bilateral relationship in the 21st century world,” the report, co-authored by new US energy secretary Steven Chu, says the outlook for such ‘green’ cooperation has never been brighter, though roadblocks remain.
“The advent of a new US presidential administration in Washington, coupled with leadership in Beijing that is increasingly aware of the destructive impact of climate change, presents unparalleled opportunity for this new strategic partnership,” the report says.
