Scotland’s public sector saw its energy costs rise 46.7% between 2005 and 2007, despite reducing its energy consumption 4.8%.
The report says there is a need for stronger leadership on energy efficiency from both the Scottish Government and within public bodies themselves. In addition to ensuring the development and implementation of workable energy strategies, there also must be cultural and behavioural changes.
