The ten 1MW plants located in the Puglia region of southern Italy will become Platina’s first operational plants in Italy. The first was grid-connected in November and all are expected to be connected by the end of 2010.
Platina says the acquisitions support an investment strategy focused on the assembly of a portfolio of operational renewable electricity projects across Europe. The investment is the 12th from the European Renewable Energy Fund in which Platina raised €209m in March 2010.
