The Philippines’ Department of Energy (DOE) said the bill will pave the way for the eventual deployment of more than 4,000MW of renewable energy capacity, at least 1,200 of which will come from geothermal sources.
Similar to renewables bills passed in other countries, the bill provides myriad incentives for investors in alternative energy, including tax credits for real estate, equipment and carbon credits.
