The two companies said they will set up a joint committee to look at joint venture opportunities, to which they are initially committing €2bn over three years. The companies said in a statement that the agreement will aim to “take advantage of the technology and geographical strengths of each of the partners.” As well as renewable energy, the two companies will also jointly look at opportunities in water treatment, and sustainable construction and transport.
