The contract is for five steel towers and nine foundation rings from German wind turbine manufacturer Repower. Mabey Bridge says work on the Recharge order will begin in December. Five towers and rings will be delivered to the Seamer wind farm near Stockton on Tees in April 2011, while the other four rings will go to the Low Spinney wind farm near Lutterworth.
