The polysilicon supply contract into China’s market will be from 1 January 2011 to 31 December 2014.
In July, OCI also won a similar supply contract worth 269bn won with Green Energy Technology to supply into the Taiwan market. The contract period is 1 January 2011 to 31 December 2015.
In anticipation of the contracts, the Korean firm has invested 220bn won to expand its manufacturing facilities for poly crystalline silicon – the raw material for solar cells.
