JA Solar sees 2009 boost from BP agreement

Shanghai based JA signed an expanded agreement in February to sell an initial volume of 175 MW to BP subsidiary BP Solar in 2009, which could later be expanded to 360 MW per year. BP Solar has a joint venture with Chinese solar company Xinjiang SunOasis, with a solar PV module manufacturing facility in Shaanxi Province.

The company expects its 2009 revenue to rise to the range of $830 m to $952 m despite lower prices.
