Oreste Vigorito, head of Italian Vento Power Corporation (IVPC) and Vito Nicastri, a Sicilian business associate, were arrested, according to a report in the Financial Times. Vigorito was held in Naples and Nicastri in Sicily.
Two other men are also reported to have been arrested in Sicily and Naples, while 11 others were charged but not arrested.
