India’s Ministry of New and Renewable Energy is currently conducting a feasibility study for introducing renewable energy certificates, with one certificate equivalent to 1MW of renewable generation, Times of India reported.
As in other countries with similar schemes, the certificates can then be traded amongst utilities to meet their mandatory targets.
