“India will not accept any emission-reduction target, period. This is a non-negotiable stance,” says environment minister Jairam Ramesh.
India’s focus in the coming decades will not be reducing its carbon emissions or fighting climate change, but rather boosting its economy in order pull hundreds of millions of people out of poverty.
