Iberdrola was not awarded any wind capacity when the results of the tender were announced in late October. A consortium made up of develop Gas Natural and turbine manufacturer Alstom won 456MW in three zones in the tender, more than half of the capacity on offer. A consortium made up of Barcelona based developers Fersa and Aventalia won 153MW of capacity in two zones, Comsa Emte won one 60MW zone with turbine manufacturer Gamesa, while FCC Energía won one zone with 99MW of capacity.
Iberdrola threatens legal action over Catalan wind tender
Spanish renewables giant Iberdrola Renovables is appealing against the results of the 769MW Catalonia wind tender, saying that there were “procedural and juridical irregularities” in the award.
