The contract was awarded by the Mexican Federal Electricity Commission (CFE) through an international public tender. Under the terms of the contract Iberdrola Renovables will supply energy to the state controlled CFE for the next 20 years.
The La Venta III wind farm, situated in the municipality of Santo Domingo Ingenio in Oaxaca, will have an installed capacity of 102.85 MW.
