The government, headed by Premier Dalton McGuinty, has introduced regulations for the FIT, which offers very attractive rates for renewable-energy projects. It is part of a sweeping Green Energy Act meant to jump-start development of wind, solar, hydroelectric, biomass and biogas in the province, Canada’s most populous.
