GE to supply turbines to CEZ for giant Romania wind farm

The Dobrogea wind farm is being developed by Czech utility CEZ. The contract, for the Cogealac phase of the project, is for 101 2.5xl 2.5 MW GE turbines, including installation, start up and maintenance services. GE is currently installing 139 2.5 MW turbines at an earlier stage of the project in Fantanele.

GE is also setting up a service station close-by which will provide support for the Fantanele and Cogealac phases of the project.
