The two companies will form a new renewable energy division made up of over 600 staff at 34 locations. GL had already acquired Canadian wind energy consulting and engineering company Hélimax and German wind measurement company Windtest. It also acquired the Noble Denton group - whose experience was centred on project management for offshore wind farms - in April 2009.
