The factory, in the Red Hills area, will produce Gamesa G58/850 Kw wind turbines and will employ more than 100 people. It will be run by Gamesa’s new India subsidiary Gamesa Wind Turbines Pvt Ltd. The new plant adds to Gamesa’s presence in Asia, where it already has the capacity to produce 1,000 MW per year from its installations in China.
Gamesa starts up 200MW India wind turbine factory
Spanish wind turbine manufacturer Gamesa has started operations in its new 200MW/year factory near Chennai, in India.
