Gamesa will lead a consortium of 11 companies and 22 research centres in the Azimut Offshore Wind Energy 2020 project. The companies include Alstom, Acciona and Iberdrola Renovables.
The project has been approved by Spain’s Centre for the Development of Industrial Technology (CDTI), a unit of the Science and Innovation Ministry via the Cenit Programme, and will require total investment of €25m over the next four years.
