Beijing has accused the US of “inciting trade friction” and obstructing the development of renewable energy after Washington maintained anti-dumping duties and set higher anti-subsidy tariffs on Chinese solar-cell imports.

Shen Danyang, a spokesman for the Ministry of Commerce, expresses China’s “strong dissatisfaction” with the Department of Commerce (DOC) ruling, saying the Americans have “sent a negative signal of trade protectionism to the whole world”.
