The Martha's Vineyard / Dukes County Fishermen's Association agreed to work with Cape Wind – expected to be the first US utility-scale offshore wind project, and located in Nantucket Sound south of Cape Cod – on a "permit bank" to help local commercial fishers obtain permits, plus a "Vineyard wild-caught" seafood promotional campaign.
In exchange, the group is dropping its federal lawsuit against the project and will support it.
