Europe's wind sector weathering the financial crisis

Installed wind power capacity grew 15% in Europe in 2008 – more than any other form of energy generation, Piebalgs said.

Of all the positive developments for the wind sector over the last year, the EU’s recent directive on renewable energy will prove the most valuable, Piebalgs says.
