While Enviva has exported wood fuel pellets to Europe since 2007, this is the company’s largest contract, Thomas Meth, executive vice president of Intrinergy, parent company of Enviva, tells Recharge.
“The pellets will originate in different locations in the US Southeast,” he says.
One of those will likely be the former CKS Energy wood pellet biomass fuel manufacturing plant in Emory, Mississippi, that Enviva acquired earlier this month.
