EDPR won 36% of the total 676 MW in capacity being awarded in the tender. The company said that the execution of the wind farm projects foreseen in the tender is subject to “the regular process of developing and licensing, in accordance to the law and to the regional and local regulation applicable to the Spanish market.”
Local newspapers have reported that Endesa and Acciona are among other companies that successfully submitted projects in the tender, while the number one wind power producer, Iberdrola Renovables, was not awarded any capacity.
