A technician wears a harness attached to the system, which then pulls him or her up the ladder inside a wind tower. The assist system can help technicians be safer and more efficient because they don’t have to expend as much energy on their repeated daily climbs up ladders as tall as 90 metres. A remote control worn by the technician adjusts the amount of assistance provided.
