In financial terms, E.ON’s Climate and Renewables division’s sales increased by 17% to €215m ($307m), from €184m during the first half of 2008. E.ON said that higher sales were due to a significant increase in installed capacity, predominantly in the US. EBITA from the division increased to €122m, compared to €62m in the same period of 2008.
Wind assets account for 96% of the Climate and Renewables division’s installed capacity, with biomass and micro-hydro assets making up the rest.
